Operations Delivery Manager – Events

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Delivery Manager to join my client’s team at a central London Events and Conference Venue and lead their operations to new heights. If you are passionate about catering and hospitality, have a strong commercial acumen, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Strategy & Operations – Develop and implement catering strategies that enhance customer experience, and optimise performance.

Commercial Management – Lead commercial planning, including pricing strategies, promotions, and inventory management to maximise profitability.

Team Leadership – Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of catering staff, ensuring high levels of performance, engagement, and customer service.

Customer Experience – Ensure that customers receive a consistent, high-quality experience across all of the venue, focusing on service excellence and brand consistency.

Financial Management – Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring that the business meets or exceeds financial objectives.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale events, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality event experiences that align with my client brand and objectives.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in event management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale events with diverse audiences.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial reporting.
