A brand-new independently owned restaurant that is due to open mid-November in the Stratford area, is seeking a Head Chef to lead the culinary team and work closely with the Founders. As Head Chef, you’ll be instrumental in the overall running of the kitchen, ensuring the exceptional standards and helping to build a fantastic reputation.
You’ll work with the best quality seasonal ingredients to create a ‘small plates’ style menu, utilising the feature charcoal oven where possible.
The restaurant will seat 40 approximately covers inside, including a 10-seater mezzanine level, plus a 30-seat outdoor terrace. The restaurant will open 7 days a week between 12pm and 11pm (12pm-7pm on Sundays)
Availability to work 48 hours per week, mixture of shifts
Previous experience as a Head Chef (or Senior Sous ready for progression) within fresh food restaurants and sound knowledge of British/European cuisine. Experience with opening a new restaurant would be beneficial, yet not essential.
You will need to be passionate about working with the freshest seasonal produce, utilising ingredients from select suppliers, which will be showcased through regularly changing menus and specials.
An inspiring leader who will mentor, develop and help to retain a team of 6-8 Chefs.
Sound financial awareness with experience of ordering and rota writing. Proficient training in Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP.
