Head Chef – Pub & Restaurant

About this role

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Head Chef to join a successful and much-loved independent pub and restaurant in Berkshire.

As Head Chef, you’ll be leading a small close-knit team of Chefs and overseeing service for up to 120 covers, as well as special events.

You will need to be passionate about working with the freshest seasonal produce. Everything is made in house, utilising ingredients from selected local suppliers, which are showcased through regularly changing menus and specials.

The Head Chef will have full responsibility for menu costing, managing the GP, ordering, stock control, training and development of the junior Chefs. You’ll work closely with the wider management team to contribute directly to continued success and reputation of the restaurant.

About You

· Experience as a Head Chef or a Sous Chef ready for progression

· A passion for gastronomy and provenance

· Proficient knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety

· Good financial acumen

· A positive leader who will promote a sense of family and collaboration
